It seems like Genral Musharaf is acting accoring to what Washington says. They want to create a base in sub continent & Pakistan is the most appropriate place for that. They can closely monitor India & china sitting there in pakistan who are the biggest threat for Washington in future.

It is the duty of every pakistani to resist proclaimed emergency.We should all work towords restoration of judiciary.If we ca not get back our indipendent judiciary Pakistan will be a history.No nation can survive with out justice.With out judiciary it will be ajungle rather a civilised society

Judiciary should be independent other wise Pakistan would be history. No country would be survive without his Constitution.
I just got a leaflet yesterday in Barking Station which describes that the key reason for the state of emergency is not for the best interests of Pakistan but concerns about how best to execute the interests of America’s militant foreign policy.
The people of Pakistan want their leaders accountable to them not to the heads of foreign powers.
This so called President just suspended the Constitution, sacked the judges, closed down Geo channel, in his words to save Pakistan from ’suicide’.
So it is clear that it is Musharraf himself who has bough the country to the brink of suicide.
