In an attempt to ensure a smooth flow of communication I have just now started a mailing list for all those volunteers wanting to be a part of the Proud-Pakistanis network. Our goal is simply a-political and aim solely to promote efforts that help our nation Pakistan.

If you are Proud to be a Pakistani then join the network and participate.

I have one question. Why are the protests so strong ? I can say with 100 % assurity that none of the people in the protests KNOW Justice Iftikhar. I don’t know him so how can I be so sure that he is innocent. I mean isnt there the slightest bit of chance that he is guilty ? Why can’t people let the juidiciary get to a conclusion ? For the ones who don’t know, The supreme sudiciary council consists of the senior most judges from the supreme court and the high court who ever those maybe. No body can choose the judges to stand in the supreme judiciary, not even Musharraf. Even Justice Iftikhar has shown faith in the supreme judiciary, why are the political parties and lawyers protesting and disrupting the life of average people. I couldn’t go to work because political people had blocked the roads. What will they get out of this ?
When the cartoons incident occured, none of us did it, no one from pakistan, but our people destroyed billions of dollars worth of property, and the guy who made those cartoons was probably laughing in his country that look, the Pakistani people are destroying their own country. What has McDonalds or KFC to do with the cartoons that people destroyed its outlets ?
The logical conclusion to all this is just that the political parties and some groups are just looking for an opportunity to show the world how dumb they are and project an image that an ordinary pakistani isnt, making every matter a political one. Allah help us and give some sense to them.
